About Jennifer Macauley

Jenni studied Fine Art at the National Art School, East Sydney and as a visiting student at Chelsea Art School, London. She has worked as a studio artist and graphic designer for major advertising agencies in London, Sydney and Melbourne.

Working as a young artist in NSW, she was awarded a number of prizes for drawing. Her work has included book illustration in published works, murals and theatre set design.

She has a deep affection for the Australian outback, where she worked for some time as a jillaroo with her spare time taken up with sketching and painting.

Her work in recent years has included landscape, portraiture and botanical illustration, painting in watercolour, gouache, acrylic and oils.

Her paintings, including commissioned works, are represented in Japan, U.K., U.S.A. Europe and throughout Australia.

Now living permanently at St Andrews Beach, Victoria, her current works evoke the mysteries of the changing light of sea and sky, demonstrating her deep emotional affinity with nature.

Jenni has sold many paintings through local art shows and galleries in Victoria, NSW and ACT and is a member of several gallery societies and art groups including Peninsula Plein-air Painters group and Peninsula Studio Trail.
